One of the most amazing and exciting developmental progress accomplished by a child is the ability to walk, or take their first steps. The usual age for babies to begin to walk is in general 9-12 months but every child is different. It is recommended to start the process of walking with tennis shoes or moccasins due to the flexibility of the soles. They are comfortable and also they provide ventilation and traction. Baby shoes are one of the major concerns for parents because they need to have some special qualities. They must be durable, flexible, comfortable, secure and they must protect the baby’s feet and ankle. Also they must be colored and washable. Baby shoes come in nearly as many diversities as grown-ups shoes, and they can even be more pricey. There are baby booties, baby sneakers, sandals and even small ballet shoes. But the major function of these shoes is just to look cute to the parents and to the other persons who will see the child. There are some designs that are more suitable for baby clothes, including baby shoes, than for adult clothing. Designs like hearts, teddy bears, butterflies, and cute little animals make very popular decorations on baby shoes and baby clothing. Baby shoes should be soft and flexible so that the baby can use his feet correctly for balance. The bottom of the shoe should be non-slip and should have plenty of traction. High-top baby shoes aren't needed for ankle support, but if you do choose high-tops, be sure the baby can still move his ankles or it may be hard for the baby to walk very well. Look for shoes in a breathable material so the baby's feet can stay cool and comfortable. |
