Balenciaga spring summer collection
Nicolas Ghesquiere, the designer of Balenciaga house, is known for his minimalist creations. His collections are the explorations of shape, volume and embellishment.
For the spring-summer collection of 2008, he brings a new trend to the classic recipe of Balenciaga’s style.
Cotton hippie shirts and shorts, leather jackets, "gladiator" sandals and Indiana Jones hat are the trend lines of the spring-summer collection.
Ghesquiere is keeping the classic line shapes: "cigarette" pants, slim jackets, stripped fabrics and he comes with a new breath - the colors, which are inspired from Claudio Bravo's art pieces - sand and saffron.
This collection is the work of an angel.
