What was really special about Hussein Chalayan’s Collection for fall-winter 2008, was that the models were smiling- and I mean real smiles, human smiles!

Hussein Chalayan chose black, blue and silver as the colors for fall 2008. He had simple black dresses, then asymmetrical gowns, then…stones (as prints on a dress, or large necklaces, or Swarovski braces).

At the end, two models came out in mechanical dresses that, in the darkness of the hall were glowing, sending out moving spots of light designed to symbolize the beginning of the universe.

This presentation was, as every good Hussein Chalayan show, astonishing and touching.
