Romantic Charles Anastase
London Fashion Week was a challenge and a ramp of launch for many young and known designers. The audience was not that easy to please, as critics waited for someone to screw things up. Yesterday, Charles Anastase released his collection on the catwalk.
The British were more than happy to receive him with open arms, as the designer signed a producing and licensing deal with Pier Spa.
The romantic designer showed everyone there how creative he can be, by combining for his 2009 spring and summer collection, multiple motives.
His new line is a juxtaposing between the Lolita notes and the Parisian chic, perfectly combined with geek influences to make them outfits funny to wear.
Also, the manner he had chosen to start the collection presentation was innocent, sending on the catwalk three flowing dresses layered with cardigans.
Geeky glasses and ankle socks were the only accessories chosen by the designer to push this collection towards attitude and boldness.
Anastase created a piece of clothing for every one of his customers, and frankly, I imagine myself wearing some of them.
There is a little geek in every one of us, just waiting for the perfect moment to get out.
The entire runway was covered in pastel colors and funny combinations.
His center piece was a pair of jeans inscribed with “Charles” on the bum area and a leather cropped biker jacket that added an edge to the entire collection.
Nice show Charles!
