This year H&M will collaborate with Comme des Garçons in launching a new collection for women, men and children.

H&M has collaborated in the past with Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Viktor & Rolf, and Roberto Cavalli.

The new creations of the head designer of Comme, Rei Kawakuba will hit the H & M stores in Tokyo in November, 2008.

Rei has also collaborated in the past with Vivienne Westwood, Fred Perry, and Peggy Moffitt.

Comme des Garçons is one of the most avant garde fashion brand. Rei is known for her unconventional style, mixing bright and dark colors, whimsically placed buttons and pockets, de-emphasized shoulders and shapes.

Comme des Garçons has more than 300 stores worldwide. Rey Kawakuba was born in Tokyo in 1942 and she founded Comme des Garçons in 1969, establishing the company in 1973.
