zara, the lead in fast fashion

Inditex is one of the worlds largest fashion distributors, with more than 3000 stores world wide, owning eight brands: Zara, Pull and Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home, and Uterque.

Zara is the best-known brand in the portfolio of Inditex. The first Zara store was opened in 1975 by Armancio Ortega, the chairman and founder of Inditex Group, Spain.

Zara is known for selling high-fashion or low-cost clothes, being a synonym with fast and fashionable. The clothes have a strong design, ultimately functional, and a good level of quality. Zara not only sales clothes but also designs and makes them.

Due to its popularity to the fashion market, the products are selling itself. There are apparel made for women, men, and children.

Zara is a non advertising adept. Ortega believes that advertising is a pointless distraction. The shop windows are all the advertising it needs.

Zara phenomenon proves that it is possible to build a massive brand by doing no more than meeting a market need.
